This information is CONFIRMED. Thanks for the heads up!

I was going to D/L the other media content, but never did. Never thought this would happen again!

I am gonna write the Author and ask him what is in the plans now and if need be I will host the files for downloading, all he has to do is e-mail the media files to me.

I am gonna help anyway I can.

FYI the VSP website is offline as of 15/08/11 so all forum threads i used are no longer available, so this is probably the only resource now available...lol

Shame as was very useful!!

I got it done just in the nick of time!!! Working well, colors slightly wrong tho and the accuracy stats also not right..but ev thing else works.

LMAO. Nice to see you solved your own problem. Being as you did not provide your environment we would not know where to start except to say at the beginning.

Glad you are using our VSP CORE 0.46. It works just the same as the old, providing you follow the instructions provided. And as I recall they have been updated as well.

P.S. Never knew this was going to be needed, so we created a section for V. S. P. for CORE only problems. Most of which can be answered at the V. S. P. Web site the Documentation (F.A.Q) provided in the core package.

Never mind!! It works!!!!! Woohoo!!!!!!!!!

Must set g_logoptions "1024" in nq 1.2.9, so can only use player name not guid or ip but who cares hehehee..I dont!

Thanks Krillin for your new core files, I had made all those changes to the php files but alot easier with your ammended version!!

Ok fixed the issues with ftp and table create!!

So now the only issue is it doesnt show any stats!! It parses but get log empty, ignoring

log is set to what the NQ1.2.9 developers say should be compatable with VSP.

So must be a php/mysql issue tables create and parses but no result!!

Hi Everyone,

I found this site thru Krillin's post on the VSP website(You seem to know this stuff) and downloaded his version of the vsp core hoiping it would fix the issues i'm having setting it up.

Sorry if this is not the forum for this, let me know if that is the case!

The issiues I was having are:

- vsp_ tables created in mysql db but no data getting written to it
- FTP process resulting in log is empty, game ignored
- therefore the stats page was empty of stats

Since installing the modified core:

- No tables created
- ftp cant dl the etserver.log file (it will dl other files and etserver.log if i point path to entire directory)
- error message is:
Error: Failed to get ftp log from "/8.2.121.145:27960/nq/etserver.log/etserver.log" to "./ftplogs/etserver.log/etserver.log".
Try making the ftplogs/ and logdata/ folder writable by all (chmod 777).

All ftp folders/directories are 777.
In the original instal it would dl the file and create a savestate.php and process data but with the log empty message!!

The reason I installed the new core was I was hoping it would fix the suspected cause of my issues..I'm using php v 5 and mysql v 5.

I made all the changes suggested on VSP forum to get it compatable with newer mysql and php! And that got me as far as I got.

Any suggestiuons, advice of help is greatly appreciated!! I have spent the best part of 6 weeks trying to get this to work!! I have read every forum on the topic I could find and posted on these forums..no replies lol.

I really want this to work...sooo close yet so far!

Note here, the e-mail address is the DEFAULT e-mail address and the SteamID is Default Displayed SteamID. I am unable to do anything with this ban due to FALSE information submitted on this form. (AS STATED)

Any data contained within this form submitted is false and / or misleading will result in longer delays of getting
your ban lifted or trashed!

This submission is TRASHED due to FALSE data provided on form.

And their message:  I been playing on that server didnt do nothing wrong at all they havent been explaining rules to me because i did everything right This player proves time and time again they do not read and follow the rules and I HAVE personally EXPLAINED the rules time and time again. I removed this ban before I got this, but I think I am gonna add it back as a PERMANENT ban now.

I do not appreciate being called a liar after showing this looser the rules several times, then a final warning and still doesn't follow the rules. Not our fault this looser cannot read. After I removed this ban, player came back in while we were testing our new SUPERHERO, this player joined the WINNING team. WAY TO GO YOU DAMN LOOSER.

You proved your own statements wrong "didnt do nothing wrong at all... i did everything right." Our reply... HARDLY! No go fly a kite in a thunderstorm with steel cable attached.

VSP™ Download / VSP™ stats processor v1.1.52 [...

Thank you for coming to Krillin's World Forums. Krillin, is major contributor to Voodoo Stats Processor, the developer / creator of the HL content, which is used for HL1 & HL2 engines for VSP back in November of 2004. Krillin has been upkeeping VSP since July 1, 2011 and still continuing today.

We posted VSP™ here to keep it as up-to-date as possible. Also to track the number of downloads. Here are the latest changes to VSP™;

23 November 2024 - v1.1.52 (alpha)
A Special Thanks to FragenStein for bringing the Q3A issues to our attention. It is because of Quake 3 Arena we are here today and upkeeping VSP™ since 2008.

Base 1 | Major .1 | Minor .52 = Update is (1.1.52)

- rmd: Removed some UNUSED CODE from the codebase (commented out code is debugging or a work in progress)
- rmd: Removed any and all .GIF file extention and replaced them with .WEBP to allow .WEBP .PNG .JPG file extentions (There may be one lingering in Q3A)
- rmd: Removed the /lib/adodb/vendor/ folder deemed unnecessary and saves 6.67MB 1,121 Files in 197 folders
- upd: Updated VSP™ Core for use with PHP 8.4.14 the PHP Version checks from 7.4 to 8.4 as 8.4 is released VSP™ approved (we will keep up with the latest)
- upd: Redesigned the VSP™ Logos for VSP and the Website the icon doesn't need to be change. This was required as the original source files could not be located
- upd: Updated awards system extensively, to search out weapons with single-quote ( ' ) in them and to (escape) \ the single-quote so the SQL query successfully runs (now we get I\'m in quotes)
- upd: Overhauled QUAKE 3 Arena / Team Arena / ExcessivePlus 2.3 (e+) / OSP / 3wave / cpma / ctfscp as well as Media Files & Mapsets
- upd: Updated VSP™ Core with visual enhancements for CLI, visual enhancements also effects Web Mode and a hand full minor bug fixes
- upd: Updated ALL style sheets to comply with new font-sizes replacing PX units with rem units to allow user browser scaling
- chg: Updated "Copyright 2004-2024" (static) to "Copyright 2004 - 2025"
- chg: Changed the index header from text to a Voodoo Stats Processor logo with a hover-over effect
- chg: Changed the location of all */inconsets/ and */rolesets/ from */default/default/* or */default/default/default/default.webp to the simplified */default/default.webp
- chg: Changed a lot of the wording within VSP™ and most all the files. (Did not work extensively on RTCW / SOF / COD / WET / ETC. they use Q3A for the base)
- chg: Changed the generic page navigation and used pagination in index and gamestats pages and eliminated the need for top and bottom and just kept the bottom.
- chg: Changed so many if statements to case statements (could not track them all)
- fix: Rewrote Quake 3 Awards Generator for weapons and items used in the game (vsp-media-q3a-default required)
- fix: Q3A savestate checks were also fixed with PHP 8.2 as Quake 3 log is a single file and tracks by GAMEID
- fix: Fix a lot of quirks with HTML rendering code which made the pages render improperly
- fix: Addressed SQL queries not returning data due to an #1052 - Column 'role' in SELECT is ambiguous in the script
- fix: Page Loaded tag to comply with font-size adhering to user browser scaling factors
- fix: Last minute fix to the Q3A default-awards.php file to fix the image file naming conventions for each weapon

NOTE: NO KNOWN ISSUES! We are still considering dropping support for COD / SOF2 / WET / RTCW / etc. in 2025. We will keep them for now.

TO DO: Update the Outdated Document. This is going to be done when time permits. It took 3+ months to address the issues here, it was not easy as it has been neglected for over a decade. Our Apologies as we work on bringing you an up-to-date ReadME instructions.
Add Q3A role / icons to show the model the player actually uses.

    This is mainly a fix dealing with Q3 and its mods. We'd fixed one thing, something else broke. This happened several times causing a domino effect. There have been so many fixes and changes in this release, we couldn't documented every single one of them! We gone through a lot of trial and error to bring you this flawless version. The changes above are core functionality issues and graphical design rendering seen in both CLI (terminal) and Web Mode Access interfaces.

There have been so many changes with this version, if we documented all of them, it would be a million feet long! The changes above are the note worthy ones.

If anything else needs to be addressed, please let us know so that we can further improve VSP™ code and keep VSP™ up-to-date as possible.

General Information / New Mods

When we went back online in March, we noticed something quite odd. Users with names that were crappy and unheard off, like inhuman even. We thought, well why is this happening. Then I recall back to when we were hosted out and I recall we had some very good MODs add to our forums to keep the Spam Bots and nasty adult materials off and our of our forums. Well, I think we hit on the MODS when I have finally put an end to the attempts, at last!

So I am gonna inform those who were having the same problems we were having how to stop them. Install the following modifications to your SMF forums (is they are compatible with your version);

Code Select Expand

1. EmailValidator V1.0
2. notCaptcha V1.06.2
#1 Verifies the e-mail address of the registering person, and if it doesn't exists, registration is REJECTED.
#2 Doesn't use the lame TEXT verification, users have to interact with the interface and set the images upright. (CLEVER)

We have a third one on here but it doesn't prevent spammers, it just shows users the strength of their entered password. And being a Network Administrator who requires the strongest password one can make and testing out the meter,  it know and tallies very well. I had to come up with a password that was 15 characters long with alphanumeric and symbolic with mixed CaSe to get 'very strong'.
